Music Group Values
1. INTIMACY
At it's simplest, intimacy in worship means we sing to God. We reveal our hearts to God and He reveals his to us. It creates a window into his heart and a window into our hearts. This is reflected in the lyrics we sing, the music we play and the way we use our physical bodies (standing, kneeling, sitting, embracing, lifting our hands, receiving, opening ourselves etc.) in worship.
Relationship
A relational dynamic between us and God in worship. Marrying a reverent, worshipful relationship with a loving, affectionate relationship with God.
Presence
Acknowledging, experiencing and responding to the presence of God. Creating an atmosphere! environment for God to break in, change direction, speak and minister.
Communication
Expressing our feelings honestly to God through our worship using confession, repentance, prayer and intercession
(standing in the gap for others).
2. ACCESSIBILITY
Worship that is accessible to people so that everyone who comes is able to participate, not Just spectate. In order to do this they must be able to follow what's happening. We want people to be engaged in worship, to be uninhibited, individually and corporately, to praise and worship in a free and safe environment.
Simplicity
The music needs to be simple without it becoming overly simplistic. It should be like a dance after a while you do not have to think about every step that you are making and it becomes easy, natural and fluent.
Individuality
Allowing people to come as they are and letting them know that nothing is expected of them and to continually extend grace to them.
Relevance and Creativity
To be culturally relevant, yet uninhibited by the world around us. Vineyard has a style that God has evidently used. We want to inherit that style for our church but not just mimic how others have done it in the past. To pursue and push out the barriers for ourselves and to own it for ourselves (Acts 19; 13-16 ). To use the creativity that our God, the creator, has given us.
Edification
To communicate the word of God through the written word (the source of many of our songs) and through prophetic song.
To instruct, teach and remind through declarations of truth, statements of faith, testimony and celebration. To know who God is and know who we are in him. Reminding ourselves and God of His promises to us. To meditate on, consider and respond to aspects of God's character and kingdom and remind ourselves of our calling, destiny and worth.

3. INTEGRITY
The word integrity means honesty; wholeness; soundness.
Lifestyle
There has to be a consistency between our public and private lives. This means we are to walk in purity, both in our hearts and in our way of life. We worship when we are leading, we worship in the congregation and we worship in private. What your life is like is more important over the long haul than the music you can make.
Worship ministry is more than an event, it's lifestyle and our public worship should flow out of our lives and private/personal worship life. It has to be an extension of our day to day walk with God.
Being Natural
Integrity means leading worship with the gifts you have (in this case the gift of music) and doing it out of who we are naturally. It means we don't change our personas or the way we talk and act in public.
Devotion to God
A life devoted to God in every area of our lives including finances, serving others and walking in relationship and accountability with others.
God Honouring
We don't want to create a platform for lifting people up but desire to worship solely for God's glory and honour and for the expansion of His Kingdom (not our own).
Doctrinally and Biblically Sound
We don't want to contradict, conflict or be contrary to the Word of God, His will of His purposes.
Excellence and Quality
Being as good as we can possibly be. not to make comparisons. To do all that we can do - to do our best for God. To be intentionally, deliberate and prepared. Investing time, energy and money to ensure that we have quality in our worship
