What's going on in txt.msg?
As a new year begins there is an air of anticipation within the txt.msg group due to an increase in the number of young people attending. This is exciting and we thank the Lord for these young people. We have settled very comfortably into our new surroundings and now enjoy the benefits of bean bags and cushions to sit on during our meetings.
As well as a new name we have two cartoon characters (male and female) which have been designed specifically for our group by Emily Regan as part of her university studies. Emily followed very(!) detailed specifications outlined by the members of txt.msg and has come up with the two brilliant designs you can see on this page. Hopefully we can use them on correspondence and possibly other items ….. watch this space! Many, many thanks to Emily for this work.
Over the next few months we will be considering a variety of subjects and issues - to give you a flavour of our plans - we will be looking at Prayer (based on James 5); Perseverance (based on James 1); the character of Daniel (obviously based on the book of Daniel!); a new kind of lifestyle (based on Colossians 3). Each session is peppered with games and chat, the style is relaxed and informal. We finish with prayer and use a prayer diary to guide this time. We hope to have a trip out before too long, plans are in the pipeline - again, watch this space….
