St. Augustine’s Centre Open Day: Thursday 19th June 11am-3pm

We’d love you to join us at our Annual Refugee Week Open Day on Thursday, 19th June 11am-3pm
The Day’s all about coming together, thanking you for all the work you do, and celebrating what we do together as a community to support refugees and people seeking asylum.
The Day will include delicious vegetarian food cooked by our amazing Centre Members (a small card donation would be much appreciated), and lots of activities including:
  • Singing with Shared Harmonies and music by our very own house band Hind and the Jaffa Cakes
  • A mini film festival including a new film about our own football team!
  • Recipe’s from around the world
  • Learn what your Superpower is, and about volunteering ST Augustine’s
  • Discover new things about our Centre Members and we’ll bust some myths about people seeking asylum!
  • Enjoy tours of the centre including demonstrations of the sports activities we offer – bike hub, football and much more
This year Refugee Week is all about simple acts – everyday actions we can all do to stand with refugees and make new connections in our communities.  There will be lots of ideas of how you can do this on the day.
