Quilting and Crafting Group

The quilting group has been going for many years in member’s houses.

However, as the group has expanded, it now meets in the church lounge, on the first Saturday of every month, from 10am – 3pm.

Dates will be displayed on the ‘What’s On’ page.

Tea, coffe and cake are provided, but members of the group bring their own lunch.

This is what they say:

“since the loss of my husband, quilting has been my lifeline. I’m feeling much calmer and happier and beginning to enjoy life again”

“I thoroughly enjoy the sessions and look forward to coming every month”

“Oh no, is that the day gone already…”

It is mainly a hand-quilting group but other crafts are also occasionally done.

It is a mixed-age group and is open to all.

Our aim is to build relationships, friendship and Christian care. The members are very chatty and helpful to each other and this supports loneliness, mental and emotional health alongside learning new skills.

Numbers are resticted to the space available, so a space needs to be booked with the co-ordinator, Rosslynn Gowers.

Email: [email protected] or phone the church office 01422 353103 and leave a message which will be forwarded.
