A flat, ambling walk along the canal to The Moorings Pub at Sowerby Bridge. A comfort break and drink stop and then back along the same route to Copley. A nice, easy, first walk of the year, now that the weather is hopefully improving! All welcome, including dogs. Any questions, see Catherine S.

Information about applying to be on PCC or Deanery Synod will be coming out in the next few weeks. You need to be on the electoral roll to apply.

Electoral Roll 2026

The electoral roll is being revised. This is this list of people who are allowed to attend and vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM), and who may stand for election to the Parochial Church Counsel (PCC). Being on the electoral roll allows you to stand in elections for Deanery Synod and Diocesan Synod as well.

It’s also a ‘snapshot’ of the people who are active in our church; it is a sign of commitment to the All Saints’ community; and it gives us an up-to-date idea of our size.  If you regularly attend All Saints’ it would be really helpful if you are able to join.

If you are already on the electoral roll, you don’t need to reapply this year – this year we are only required to make changes (e.g. add people on or remove them) – if you are already on, you will stay on automatically unless you let us know. Please discuss with Rev Jen or Sarah Frank (electoral roll officer) if you have any questions.

If you would like to join, please fill in the “APPLICATION FOR ENROLMENT ON THE CHURCH ELECTORAL ROLL” form and return it to the Church office or to Sarah Frank by Sunday 24th April 2026. Forms are available in the Church Porch, or email sarah_tweak@yahoo.com for a copy.

In November this was introduced to the church congregation.

Donations to the church can be given via the scheme, either regularly or one off. It is a secure Direct Debit payment and Gift Aid is claimed by the scheme and passed to the church, thereby reducing the Treasurer’s workload.

If members sign-up online, they have access to information about their giving and can manage donations easily.

However, donations can also be made by phone or post Halifax All Saints PGS PDF Gift Form

We are constantly formed by so many of the things around us, how do we purposefully set out to be formed by Jesus? How does that change over our lives. Join with us and journey together and look afresh at these questions over the next few months.

To accompany the series you may want to log on to this website www.practicingtheway.org which has lots of resources as you explore this area of faith.  Or you might prefer to order a copy of the book Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer.  The book is available from all the normal online stores – if you struggle to use online shopping, and would like us to order a copy on your behalf, please have a chat with Jen or Diane in the church office.

A booklet has also been created for everyone, to help us reflect where we are on this journey. There are still copies available from the office.

There will be an organised prayer walk each week over the summer, on
various days at different times. We’re not aiming to cover millions of
streets each time, so don’t expect a hike (although probably still wear
sensible shoes), routes will vary, but will be between 30mins and 1
hour. All ages are welcome.

The summer 2024 dates and times are below, but if you’d
like to organise one to cover certain streets let Jen
know, and then we can spread the word to others
who might want to participate. You may be an
Olympic level prayer walker, or a complete novice,
everyone is welcome and we’d encourage all who are
physically able to find a way to join with one or more over the summer
months. Remember if one doesn’t come up that fits with your schedule, you can
organise one that does!
